Another weekend of Chinese New Year and another new mall adventure.
Now unlike the Pacific mall last weekend there was nothing quite as spectacular about the architecture or culture at the Chinatown Centre mall in downtown Toronto. However there were plenty of images to be made on my breaks.
Performances for the end of Chinese New Year were taking place which offered plenty of unique moments.
While I enjoy the images of old men practicing with the Erhu, a young dancer warming up in the parking area and lions eating lettuce, one of my favourite photos was the last I took.
I noticed a group of balloons which were likely released earlier in the day stuck in the skylight at the apex of the mall.
Inaccessible, unseen unless you happened to look directly up, they are trapped and forgotten until their helium evaporates.
