Nick is a freelance photojournalist based in Southern Ontario.

He discovered his passion for photography and photojournalism while studying Canadian history at Wilfrid Laurier University. From 2008 to 2013 he managed the photography department of Wilfrid Laurier University's award winning independent campus and community newspaper The Cord.

Additionally Nick worked as a research assistant and photographer at the Laurier Centre for Military Strategic and Disarmament Studies. He has participated in and photographed three European battlefield tours and co-authored two books about Canada at war.

As a journalist he has covered a wide variety of events including municipal, provincial and national elections, various sporting events, spot news events, accidents, environmental portraits, and large national events like the G20 riots, and Jack Layton’s funeral.

Nick’s interests gravitate towards news photography, stories about community, and social inequality issues.
