Day three started rather early and really it was a continuation of day two .Neither Matt or I could sleep so at about 4am France time we decided to go on an adventure.

Day two started early at 430am and ended late with a photo close to midnight.
We covered quite a lot more ground and managed to find some interesting remnants of war we didn't expect at Hill 70.

Well I am by no means a great videographer, but I tried to give a sense of what were doing in a short video here. I shot this around dusk last evening south of Arras.
I was at the Drocourt-Quéant Line. Part of the Hindenburg line, Canadian fores broke through the extensive defences on September 2nd and 3rd 1918.

10 Days project: Day 1
The day has been long, and I'm pretty sure it has actually been like two days... Anyhow were in Europe and spent most of the day driving around, shooting and drinking coffee to stay awake. Here are some shots from the good old x100s to hold you over for now more info to come soon!

10 Days Project: The adventure begins!
I haven't said anything about this but I'm heading to Europe. Today, like right now, I'm in the airport having a beer waiting to board the plane.
I'm going for a few reasons but the one that relates to this post has to do with the photo project I begin the moment I step on the plane.
It's called 10 Days and together with my PhD candidate friend Matt Symes we are embarking on a project to bring the First World War closer to the average Canadian.
We've got 10 days in Canada's experience at war. 10 battles and 10 lives lost.
